Challenging conventions that actively represent social groups

Image
Hello Emeralds, this is a step by step bake as I explain my CCR to you all. Stay royal green! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kjkRGmQ0AbBaoUAyrcvSM0UfouQZ2S9QqO4eoUBdpVo/edit?usp=sharing Transcript: For the final task, I integrated the idea of a thriller.  The theme was to not be made with horror but rather mystery. The environment was abandoned and weary.  I used those factors to make the area of film more suspicious. My video has one major social issue that causes the world to shift apart. That social issue is not following your gut, breaking away from close ones, and the outcome of breaking rules. The feeling of being lost from the group causes one to overthink about every action, thought, or breath they take. I thought it was very important to include what happens between doing activities alone and doing it with the people you have arrived with. Many agree that yes, it is important to spend time with yourself, however, it distracts you from making core memories of happiness. To

Podcast "Engaging audience and real media text"

Image
Hello Emeralds, above is a podcast discussing on "how does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as real media text?" I hope you all find this informative!  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kjkRGmQ0AbBaoUAyrcvSM0UfouQZ2S9QqO4eoUBdpVo/edit?usp=sharing Transcript: My film flows smoothly and conveys a clear message. The Theme related to having a friend group that you arrive with and quickly separating. The audience also has room to evoke emotion seeing the  disappearance demonstrated on the cast members  faces from exploring the abandoned buildings. The cast selected were close friends who know each other in real life. This was chosen to have a relationship of trust in each other's presence. So to engage with the audience I did something risky.  I made my product be filled with suspense by adding music and context clues. However, those context clues were not predictable, but rather questionable. Why is a group of teens splitting up in a place

Greetings Emeralds! I now present to you "Cold Case." Hope you all enjoy!

Last thing to do

Hey Emeralds, I am excited to tell you I am on the last part of the final task. I made sure to keep my promise and keep you guys up to date with my progress. The countless nights of editing, filming, and planning all came to good use for my film. Although my part was cut out, it was for the best, in order to produce quality.  So I will now list the new things, done to complete my film. I organized a zoom meeting to meet with my team. Then I looked through everyone's progress and concluded that the film will be produced through CapCut. The other apps made the film look very weak. After that was completed, it was time to add the title.  The title was the hardest thing since all platforms did not create what I had in mind. Therefore, I settled with artificial intelligence.  AI took me a long time since it barely understood what I was going for.  There was three results. The first one was too chunky and took away from the genre. The second one had a bad color scheme. Then the last one

For quality, we must make sacrifices.

Welcome back Emeralds! We are back into the final stages of this final task. To keep you guys up to date, here is what was done. First my team did some planning and got approved by parents. Then the location, time, and invitations was sent. To add on, then filming was conducted. Finally editing got complete. Upon editing I noticed, the time was way too long. It reached a timing of two minutes and fifteen seconds. Surely this would draw my audience away. I had an urgent meeting with my team about this. Agreeing, it was voted that my part gets cut out. I was not too sure of this since it was not apart of the plan. I went along anyway, doing what is best for the team. I just put in my mind that quality is best for the Emeralds.  I went back into editing and erased my part which consisted of suggesting that entering the building was a bad idea. Luckily, the final task still looked great and it met the time limit. I learned that I must make sacrifices to do what is best for the viewers. Th
